ABOUT

Neil Lurie is the author of several uplifting short stories including Die Mole Die, Will You Be My Dinner?, and Mommy, That's Not My Goldfish, to name a few. He is an aging, balding, Jewish man, whose wife allows him to live with her in their apartment in New York on the Upper East Side. Neil has two adult children who assert that they are his biological offspring and, against their own interests, refuse to submit to DNA testing.

His hobbies are perfecting the art of pessimism, and disquieting. He has never been overweight. He never wants to walk a dog. He loves to spend time in the garden with his flowers, shrubs, and trees, for they, unlike people, never say or do anything stupid.

Neil is currently working on his fourth short story, Parents: What Are They For? (To Crush Your Self Esteem). He may not have to write this one. The title says it all.
